Cigar and Blend
Bahia, with its proximity to the sea, boasts a humid and salty environment, resulting in robust and spicy tobacco. In contrast, the Dominican Republic, known for its consistent weather and freshwater sources, contributes to the blend's signature smoothness and creaminess.
This limited edition showcases Davidoff's unparalleled expertise, boasting a remarkable 45-year combined age for its tobaccos, an achievement unmatched by any other producer. To further enhance this masterpiece, a select Dominican filler tobacco has been meticulously aged in bourbon casks, imparting an exquisite depth, complexity, and a touch of sweet bourbon character.
With its generous 56-ring gauge, the gran toro format provides the perfect platform for this captivating blend. It allows the vibrant flavours of the Brazilian and Dominican tobaccos to fully express themselves, creating a truly dynamic and unforgettable sensory experience.

1/3
Filler: Brazil (9 years aged) Dominican Republic (1x8, 3x5 years aged)
The cigar begins with creamy and toasted flavours with notes of coffee - a combination much like a cappuccino. A long aftertaste, reminiscent of that of a praline, lingers on the palate, accompanied by hints of vanilla bean.
2/3
Binder: Brazil (9 years aged)
The ever-changing flavours evolve into a fruity character, complemented by a pleasant sweetness imparted by the whisky-cask-aged Dominican filler tobacco. Dominant leather notes, enhanced by liquorice, balance the sweetness perfectly.
3/3
Wrapper: Ecuador (4 years aged)
Towards the end, the cigar develops spicier notes - a noticeable influence of the Brazilian filler tobacco on the overall taste. Hints of bittersweet chocolate and almonds blend beautifully with the sweetness of acacia honey.

Stylish Packaging Design
The 12 gran toro cigars come in a numbered wooden box, which displays the carefully varnished Escurio pattern. The frame reflects the striking colour of the Escurio line around the box, and a 10th anniversary sticker on the lid highlights the special occasion. A smooth pergamin paper that also shows the Escurio pattern covers the cigars and enhances the unboxing experience.
The Cask Ageing Process

The Bourbon Cask
The leaves are firmly pressed inside the bourbon casks. As the temperature in the closed casks rises, the tobacco enters a fermentation process. The rise in temperature is checked regularly to prevent the tobacco from overheating.

The Ageing
The Yamasá visus filler tobacco ages for a total of six months in the cask, during which it gets flipped every two weeks, applying a labour-intensive process. Meanwhile, the tobacco absorbs the aromas of the cask’s wood. This is a natural process when no bourbon is directly applied to the tobacco leaves.

The Result
The cask ageing noticeably refines the rich Yamasá visus tobacco. It adds complex sweetness to the overall blend, consequently balancing the Brazilian tobacco's spiciness in the Escurio 10th Anniversary Limited Edition.
